Los resultados muestran que existen diferencias entre las caras arterial y ventricular de los esbozos valvulares.  por otra parte  un grupo de embriones ha sido sometido a la accion de drogas antimicrotubulares. La colchicina da lugar a cambios ultraestructurales en todas las celulas endoteliales  independientemente de la edad del embrion pero los cambios morfologicos aparecen en la cara arterial de los velos en los estadios mas tempranos del desarrollo. Sin embargo  el taxol no provoca cambios morfologicos sobre el endotelio valvular. Los resultados son analizados y se discute la posibilidad de que el endotelio valvular sea uno de los factores que pueda contribuir en los procesos morfogeneticos que acontecen durante el desarrollo
