Se detecta la presencia de actividad acida localizada en el interior de los lisosomas  que no es sensible ni a la incubacion de las celulas con catecolaminas ni a la induccion de diabetes experimental en estos animales. Se caracteriza asi mismo la presencia de actividad lipoproteina lipasa  insensible a la incubacion de los miocitos con catecolaminas y disminuida por la induccion de la diabetes experimental.
