Se ha elaborado una breve introducci\u00f3n con el fin de ubicarlo en un contexto hist\u00f3rico determinado, estudiando los aspectos que permiten su dataci\u00f3n cronol\u00f3gica. A continuaci\u00f3n se debate la cuesti\u00f3n referida a la autor\u00eda de las cuatro \u00e9glogas. Tras refutar la postura del algunos estudiosos que atribuyen a calpurnio s\u00edculo la autor\u00eda de estas cuatro \u00e9glogas, hemos zanjado la cuesti\u00f3n aportando pruebas concluyentes que demuestran que fue el mismo nemesiano el poeta que compuso estas cuatro buc\u00f3licas. el apartado dedicado a las caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e9tricas de su obra reafirma las conclusiones del cap\u00edtulo anterior.  tras ello se analiza la repercusi\u00f3n que ha tenido nuestro poeta en la literatura occidental. Se analizan aqu\u00ed poetas como modoino, marco valerio, erasmo, boccaccio, escal\u00edgero, sannazaro, garcilaso de la vega, fernando de herrera o bernardo de balbuena.  precediendo a la edici\u00f3n de los cuatro peomas se acompa\u00f1a un peque\u00f1o an\u00e1lisis de la tradici\u00f3n textual y la propueta del stemma codicum ofrecida por diversos estudiosos.Asimismo se ofrece el texto revidado de las \u00e9glogas  confrontrado con sus correspondiente traducci\u00f3n.  a continuaci\u00f3n presentamos un comentario exhaustivo y detallado de los cautro poemas.Cada obra se abre con una introducci\u00f3n donde se analizan aspectos de car\u00e1cter general. Asimismo se procede a analizar verso a verso diversos aspectos filol\u00f3gicos dignos de resaltar como el comentario gramatical, textual, mitol\u00f3gico o literio. En algunos casos se abordan fuentes literarias y la repercusi\u00f3n de determinados pasajes en la literatura posterior. En otros casos se trazan paralelismo con otros g\u00e9neros como la ret\u00f3rica (lamento f\u00fanebre), la eleg\u00eda er\u00f3tica o los himnos a los diosses.
