En animales recien nacidos se denuncia la presencia de un 97 5 % (m. Tibial craneal) y un 95 % (m. Flixar digital lateral) de fibras indiferenciadas (fibras zzd)  el porcentaje restante  en ambos musculos  correspondio a fibras tipo 3 de wohlfart.  durante el desarrollo postnatal se asiste a la diferenciacion de los nuevos tipos fibrilares (ia  iia iib y iic).
