La estabilizacion del radical se realiza por el grupo nitro funcionalizandose el metilo 18 del esqueleto esteroidal a partir de las nitroaminas 20r y 20s y el metilo 19 a partir de las 4b  2b y 19b nitroaminas. Asimismo se logro la funcionalizacion del metilo 27 de la sarsapogenina a partir de la 23b nitroamina. Tambien se extendio el procedimiento a la funcionalizacion del metilo 24 en dos triterpenos derivados del friedelano. Se estudio la ciclacion al epimino compuesto  empleando diferentes sistemas oxidantes  obteniendose los mejores resultados cuando se uso el yodoso-benceno-diacetato. Asimismo se han obtenido nitroaminas alifaticas por reduccion de las nitroaminas correspondientes  para las que no existen metodos descritos en la literatura.
