Estos microorganismos presentan unos requerimientos nutricionales muy simples  a saber  luz solar  agua  aire y algunas sales minerales. A diferencia de las algas verdes y plantas superiores no requieren nitrogeno combinado para su crecimiento. Los estudios se han realizado tanto en condiciones de laboratorio como a la intemperie  habiendose optimizado los parametros que mas decisivamente influyen en la productividad (turbulencia  profundidad y densidad celular del cultivo temperatura  ph  suministro de aire y co2  etc). A la intemperie  empleando un sistema de agitacion por paletas se han obtenido productividades medias del orden de 20 g (peso seco) por m2 y dia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
