La hidrogenacion de estos sobre ni-ra w-2 conduce  de forma regioespecifica  a aminoenonas y estas se han transformado en diversos sistemas heterociclicos. Por reaccion con fenilhidrazina metilhidrazina  2 4-dinitro fenil hidrazina y semicarbazida conducen regidespecificamente a derivados de pirazol. Reaccionan tambien con cianamida para formar 2-aminopirimidinas mientras que con bromuro de cianogeno sufren procesos de x-halogenacion.
