investigaci\u00f3n pone en evidencia la forma como han nacido y se han valorado las influencias del arte prehisp\u00e1nico en la obra de tamayo, y como esta valoraci\u00f3n nace en un momento de reafirmaci\u00f3n nacional en la que la cultura prehisp\u00e1nica es recuperada en el \u00e1mbito sociocultural del pintor mexicano a trav\u00e9s de los cap\u00edtulos, las sugerencias prehisp\u00e1nicas encuentran una interacci\u00f3n con los conceptos; mito, s\u00edmbolo, arte, pol\u00edtica y modernidad, y derivan de las contradicciones culturales de la \u00e9poca, las contradicciones  de las sugerencias prehisp\u00e1nicas y su valorizaci\u00f3n; pero al mismo tiempo se deja en claro que la conclusi\u00f3n final a la que se llega, es s\u00f3lo una lectura entre
