Para la implantacion de cada uno de los dos tipos de actividades se proponen criterios de optimalidad. Se han desarrollado dos algoritmos  uno exacto y el otro heuristico  para la resolucion de la implantacion de las actividades que constituyen la cadena de produccion. Ambos algoritmos estan basados en la programacion dinamica y en tecnicas de branch and bound.  los algoritmos se han realizado en lenguaje fortran 77 y ha sido implementado en un ordenador univac
