En el primero de ellos, se han desgranado diversas cuestiones que responden, sucesivamente, a los t\u00edtulos de los cuatro cap\u00edtulos que lo integran \u00abla producci\u00f3n teatral de bergam\u00edn en el exilio\u00bb, \u00ablas ideas sobre el teatro y la preceptiva dram\u00e1tica de jos\u00e9 bargam\u00edn\u00bb, \u00abrasgos generales de su teatro\u00bb y \u00abestudio particular de cada una de las nueve obras que componen el teatro en el destierro de jos\u00e9 bergam\u00edn\u00bb. a lo largo de estos cuatro cap\u00edtulos hemos realizado un recorrido cronol\u00f3gico sobre el \u00abperegrinaje\u00bb de jos\u00e9 bergam\u00edn por tierras americanas y francesas. tambi\u00e9n nos hemos preocupado por el bergam\u00edn \u00abpreceptista\u00bb o te\u00f3rico del teatro, as\u00ed como por lo que realmente \u00abha quedado dicho\u00bb en las piezas dram\u00e1ticas que escribi\u00f3 o estren\u00f3. Por \u00faltimo, hemos estudiado cada obra en particular, especialmente, en relaci\u00f3n con sus fuentes literarias o hist\u00f3ricos, el origen de los personajes o conflictos que plantea y que poseen, en muchos casos, una larga tradici\u00f3n literaria.     en el segundo volumen hemos incluido la edici\u00f3n cr\u00edtica de las nueve piezas que componen el \u00abcorpus\u00bb dram\u00e1tico del per\u00edodo estudiado. De esta forma, se facilitaba la lectura, pues casi todas las obras resultan de dif\u00edcil localizaci\u00f3n o consulta, diseminadas como est\u00e1n por otros pa\u00edses y constre\u00f1idas a una poblaci\u00f3n en revistas de tirada limitada o ediciones de pocos ejemplares. Adem\u00e1s, la edici\u00f3n anotada y comentada nos permit\u00eda ofrecer una compensaci\u00f3n a ese mismo abandono en que se encuentran.
