Sin tratamiento, las leucemias agudas son mortales y los pacientes mueren pocos meses despues del diagnostico.  los trasplantes aut\u00f3logo de medula osea (tamo) son una buena oportunidad de cura aunque presenta el inconveniente de una probable contaminacion de celulas leucemicas en el in\u00f3culo hematopoyetico a trasplantar. Asi, se desmostro clinicamente que las celulas de leucemia presentes en los in\u00f3culos hematopoy\u00e9ticos utilizados para el tamo contribuian a la recidiva postrasplante. Otros estudios clinicos indican que la incubaci\u00f3n con dosis altas de drogas de las medula oseas (purgado) utilizadas para tamo disminuyen la probabilidad de recaida leucemica. Sin embargo, los farmacos usados actualmente para purgar son altamente inespecificos y afectan tambien a las celulas hematopoy\u00e9ticas normales del in\u00f3culo. Por lo tanto, es evidente que se han de desarrollar metodos de purga m\u00e1s espec\u00edficos.  en la memoria presentamos el desarrollado de un modelo murino de leucemia post-trasplante utilizando c\u00e9lulas leuc\u00e9micas marcadas gen\u00e9ticamente as\u00ed como la aplicaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos de terapia g\u00e9nica usando vectores virales como nuevo sistema de purga. De los vectores virales probados, los adenoviurs recombinantes se han mostrado muy eficaces en la transducci\u00f3n selectiva de celulas leucemicas. La incubaci\u00f3n de las medulas oseas con vectores adenovirales que codifican genes suicidas. Y su posterior tratamiento con su prodroga, ha demostrado su utilidad en la prevenci\u00f3n de las recidivas leuc\u00e9micas post-trasplante originadas como consecuencia de la utilizaci\u00f3n de
