Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Timo y timocitos de ternera se homogenaron en condiciones isotonicas en presencia de inhibidores de proteasas o en drasticas condiciones desnaturalizantes y sus componentes se fraccionaron por ultrafiltracion. Los extractos en condiciones isotonicas contuvieron timosina alfa  como se determino por isoelectroenfoque y hplc en fase reversa.  la composicion de los homogenados obtenidos en drasticas condiciones desnaturalizantes fue muy similar para timo y timocitos y segun muestra el analisis por isoelectroenfoque presentan una fuerte capacidad asociativa. A partir de timocitos de ternera se aislo protimosina alfa tanto de homogenados con o sin inhibicion de la actividad proteolitica presentando un pi identico a protimosina alfa de rata. El analisis estructural de los peptidos derivados de la digestion con triosina indica que un residuo ala de la posicion 92 reemplaza una val en la secuencia de protimosina alfa de rata. El tama\u00f1o de protimosina alfa fue dependiente del ph.
