La identificacion de cada tipo celular se realizo mediante la tecnica inmunocitoquimica de la pap en cortes en parafina para el estudio estructural y la superimposicion de cortes semifinos inmunomarcados adyacentes a cortes ultrafinos para su identificacion ultraestructural.  las celulas gh no sufren variaciones y segun el tama\u00f1o de sus granulos hemos diferenciado 4 tipos. Las celulas son de dos tipos pas positivas y pas negativas  estas ultimas aumentan en numero durante la gestacion y produccion lactea  con un mayor desarrollo de las citomembranas mas manifiesto en la ultima fase. Las celulas acth con dos tipos de granulos aumentan en gestacion donde presentan grandes vacuolas no inmunote\u00f1idas que regresan en lactacion. Hemos identificado tres tipos morfologicos de celulas gonadotropas que se corresponden con distintos aspectos funcionales de un mismo tipo celular  aumentan en numero y actividad en gestacion.
