En una primera fase se llevo a cabo el desarrollo de sensores opticos tipo \u00absensores visuales de alarma\u00bb basados en cambios de color perceptibles a simple vista, sensibles a dichos cvss y destinados al uso por parte del propio paciente de halitosis con la idea de que este pudiera tener una idea del estado de su enfermedad y de la evolucion de la misma sin la necesidad de acudir a un medico especialista. Estos sensores fueron evaluados clinicamente sobre una poblacion de 196 pacientes confirmando su adecuado funcionamiento. En una segunda etapa se desarrollaron fases sensores y metodolog\u00edas analiticas no solo para la deteccion sino tambien para la cuantificaci\u00f3n de los cvss en aliento humano para ser empleadas con la ayuda de instrumentos analiticos destinadas a su utilizaci\u00f3n por parte del clinico que le permitieran cuantificar los niveles de cvss en el aliento de enfermos y llevar un control m\u00e1s estricto de la enfermedad asi como de la evoluci\u00f3n de la misma frente a los tratamientos aplicados. finalmente, se ha desarrollado una metodolog\u00eda analitica basada en el empleo de tecnicas hibridas, cromatografia de gases acoplada a un plasma de acoplamiento inductivo y deteccion con una analizador de masas de doble enfoque para la identificacion y cuantificacion de cvss en el espacio de cabeza de saliva humana incubada, demostrando la existencia de determinados compuestos vol\u00e1tiles de azufre raramente reportados en la literatura relativa al
