presente estudio examina a lo largo de ocho capitulos de que forma aparece reflejada la concepcion medieval del sue\u00f1o (accion de dormir) y del ensue\u00f1o (im\u00e1genes oniricas) en la literatura espa\u00f1ola de los siglos xiii al xvi. se llega a la constatacion de que la cultura onirica pagana no fue absolutamente erradicada de los usos cotidianos populares, a pesar del discurso antisupersticiosos de la iglesia, en segundo lugar, se observa que el ascetismo cristiano jugo un papel importante en la apreciacioni del sue\u00f1o y consiguientemente, en la desconfianza hacia las percepciones oniricas, por ultimo, la explotacion literaria de lo onirico es mayor cuando en el discurso onirologico los argumentos medicos y psicologicos priman sobre los teologicos.  esta investigacion presta especial atencion a diferentes textos hagiograficos, epicos (poema de fernan gonzalez), ficciones caballerescas (entre las que destacan tres libros de caballerias: las sergas de esplandian, de garci rodriguez de montalvo, florisando, de rui paez de ribera, y palmerin de olivia), asi como a otras dos obra singulares: la lozana andaluza, de francisco delicado, y las lagrimas de
