En esta tesis se aborda el problema de seleccion de un sistema de medida apropiado.  el metodo que se presenta maximiza la informacion mutua entre las medidas y las variables de estado  y permite la obtencion de configuraciones de medida que minimicen el error de estimacion. Se ha desarrollado igualmente un procedimiento que reduce de modo sustancial los requerimientos de calculo del metodo.- Se incluyen resultados que demuestran el adecuado comportamiento del esquema planteado  tanto desde el punto de vista de la precision esperable en la estimacion como en lo referente a las caracteristicas de observabilidad y probabilidad de deteccion de errores.- Se ha abordado asimismo el problema del costo economico que conlleva la instalacion considerandose la complejidad adicional que representa el hecho de que las medidas provenientes de una misma subestacion suelen ser comunicadas mediante el mismo canal de transmision  y son estos canales los que  por su mayor precio  determinan el costo de la instalacion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
