Esta t\u00e9cnica posibilita tanto la reducci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n como una representaci\u00f3n muy adecuada para la identificaci\u00f3n de caras.  para la realizaci\u00f3n de las pruebas se ha generado una base que contiene im\u00e1genes de caras de 20 personas (240 im\u00e1genes) que presentan siete expresiones b\u00e1sicas: alegr\u00eda, miedo, enfado, asco, neutra, tristeza y sorpresa. Procedi\u00e9ndose a su normalizaci\u00f3n y organizaci\u00f3n matricial.  se realiza un estudio inicial de las distancias eucl\u00eddea y de mahalanobis entre caras detallando la informaci\u00f3n que aporta cada autovector y de la influencia que tienen \u00e9stos en el proceso de reconocimiento tanto de personas como de expresiones.
