Su vocabulario sirve tambien para sentar las bases de la critica de arte y de la historiografia artistica posteriores, y sintetiza al mismo tiempo una opcion critica y teorica del autor, de su tiempo y de su generacion artistica. La tesis \u00abgiorgio vasari y la formulacion de un vocabulario artistico\u00bb de juan maria montijano garcia analiza esta terminolog\u00eda artistica y teorica, la evolucion de significado y designacion en los textos vasarianos y en su exegesis italiana y espa\u00f1ola. el estudio se ha dividido en dos apartados diferenciados. En un primer punto se desarrolla la investigacion de significado y uso de diez voces, que determinan el sentido del lexico mas particular, y por extension, de su opcion teorica. Al final de la tesis, y como apendice, se hace de forma generica sobre el conjunto de su vocabulario.
