Coli de origen ovino y caprino de 51 brotes diarreicos de la zona centro de espa\u00f1a entre nero de 1989 y dicimbre de 1991 y se estudiaron algunas de las caracteristicas mas relevantes relacionadas con la capacidad de originar diarrea. No se detecto la expresion de las fimbrias f5 y f41 ni la produccion de la enterotoxina sta en ninguna de las cepas estudiadas y tan solo el 0,7% producida lt: el 4,7% de las cepas expresaba la fimbria f17, el 2,2% producia verotoxinas y el 1,7% factores citotoxicos necrotizantes. La produccion de colicinas y la expresion de hemagluitninas menosa-resistentes fueron caracteristicas frecuentes entre las cepas aisladas. En el 15% de los aislados se detecto la expresion de un antigeno superficial. Distinto de las fimbrias f5, f41 y f17, de naturaleza proteica de peso molecular estimado en 19,5 kda.
