Este enzima degrada cualquier don que se emplee como sustrato y tiene una localizacion exocitoplasmica en la celula.  posee una funcion de restriccion circunstancial frente a fagos que esta asociada por una parte al inicio de su produccion en el medio de cultivo y por otra  a la etapa de adsorcion de los fagos al micelio de la bacteria. La sintesis de la endonucleosa esta sujeta a represion por las fuentes de nitrogeno organicas (aminoacidos) del medio. A partir de los datos obtenidos a lo largo del trabajo planteamos la hipotesis de una funcion nutricional para este enzima en relacion con el proceso de diferenciacion
