Se considera el sistema como un reactor tubular multif\u00e1sico de flujo de pist\u00edn en estado estacionario y en contracorriente, con intercambio de energ\u00eda con el exterior.  se realizan los balances de materia y energ\u00eda en cada segmento del reactor, de 20 cm de longitud cada uno, y se integra num\u00e9ricamente para toda la longuitud. Se considera \u00fanicamente variaci\u00f3n axial de las composiciones y temperaturas, sin considerar perfiles radiales ni angulares. El esquema de reacciones empleado incluye, en la fase gas, las reacciones de combusti\u00f3n, as\u00ed como las formaciones de \u00f3xidos de nitr\u00f3geno, azufre y co. En la fase s\u00f3lida-l\u00edquida se consideran  las reacciones de formaci\u00f3n de los distintos componentes del cl\u00ednquer, que en el lenguaje propio de la industria del cemento son c2s, c3s, ac3 y fac4, donde c,s, a y f son los \u00f3xidos de ca, si, al y fe(iii), respectivamente. Las t\u00e9cnicas de las reacciones se han tomado de los datos emp\u00edricos procedentes de la firma f.L. Smith (comunicaci\u00f3n personal), y sus energ\u00edas de activaci\u00f3n se han reducido ligeramente para tener en cuenta la fusi\u00f3n parcial del material.  como resultados del modelo se tienen los perfiles de temperatura de gas y s\u00f3lido a lo largo del reactor y los perfiles de composici\u00f3n de las distintas especies qu\u00edmicas. La escasez o ausencia de datos experimentales hace dificil su validaci\u00f3n completa, que puede hacerse s\u00f3lo con los valores de composiciones de salida. Los valores predichos para ac3 y fac4 coinciden con los reales (menos del 1% de error), y del 8% para los silicatos. La temperatura m\u00e1xima predicha para el s\u00f3lido est\u00e1 entre 1600 y 1700\u00c2\u00bac, coincidente con las publicadas a partir de datos experimentales
