Teresa <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La formacion de complejos antigeno-anticuerpo (ag-ac) constituye un proceso general de defensa por el que los ag son eliminados del torrente sanguineo en forma de inmunocomplejos (ics). En situaciones patologicas, estos ics pueden adquirir grandes dimensiones, precipitar y depositarse en tejidos produciendo graves da\u00f1os. En condiciones fisiologicas, el sistema del complemento anula esta posibilidad mediante la realizacion de dos de sus principales funciones: la inhibicion de la precipitacion inmune y la solubilizacion de ics depositados. El tercer componente del sistema del complemento c3, es fundamental en ambos procesos. Dada la importancia de la union de c3 sobre los ics, se planteo el analisis molecular de esta interaccion, con el fin de determinar el mecanismo molecular mediante el cual c3 realiza estas funciones. Los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo, permiten determinar las regiones de interaccion de c3 en la igg de conejo que forma parte de los ics.  permiten, asi mismo, delimitar las zonas de estas regiones implicadas directamente en la interaccion con c3. Se estudio sobre modelos tridimensionales que residuos pertenecientes a las zonas delimitadas son los aceptores mas probables del tercer componente del sistema del complemento.
