Los objetivos de este trabajo han sido analizar el da\u00f1o hematopoyetico residual en ratones adultos tras la irradiacion con 5 gy (rayos x) asi como, determinar el efecto sobre la progenie de hembras murinas expuestas a 1 gy de rayos x al 4 dia (periodo de preimplantacion) y 13 dia de gestacion. Nuestros resultados indican un da\u00f1o en el estroma que se expresa mediante la extraliberacion de factores capaces de estimular el crecimiento de precursores comprometidos. En el animal adulto, estos factores estan implicados en la alteracion de la funcionalidad y metabolismo del neutrofilo. En los animales irradiados en el periodo fetal, observamos un incremento en el numero de precursores gm-cfc que podria reflejar un mecanismo de compensacion al da\u00f1o residual en el microambiente hematopoyetico. Sin embargo, en estos animales no se observaron modificaciones en el metabolismo y funcionalidad de neutrofilos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
