La primera de ellas supone una recopilacion historica documental de las experiencias plasticas en las que la palabra posee una importancia singular. Inicialmente se hace un somero repaso de la relacion de dependencia originaria de los valores escritos con las inaugurales configuraciones plasticas, hasta alcanzar aquellos una total independencia de los segundos y una muy dificil restitucion arqueologica a sus imagenes originarias. Posteriormente, tras dejar sentada la citada disolucion, se pretende observar, mediante una coherencia cronologica lineal, los acercamientos entre ambos procedimientos intelectuales, pero siempre desde el campo de la plastica y atendiendo al pensamiento que cada epoca posee de sus propias especificaciones linguisticas y esteticas. En la segunda parte han sido contemplados procesos creativos actuales que utilizan configuraciones plasticas de la palabra mediante la construccion de un discurso basado en diversas constantes tematicas del fenomeno (motivaciones del artista, formas expositivas, la configuracion de espacios plasticos por la palabra, el influjo de los medios de comunicacion, silencio y ruido, el nombrar, el compromiso social, la traduccion, la creacion de lenguajes, las relaciones de este tipo de arte con las ciencias o el juego lexico y el poema, entre otros).
