En la historica se analizan todas las circunstancias relacionadas con el oficio de platero: los talleres, el aprendizaje, las categorias y los examenes, asi como las condiciones de su trabajo (contratos, modelos, tasaciones&#8230;). Seguidamente, se especifican los principales focos de actividad de la provincia de soria y la importancia que llegaron a adquirir otros centros ajenos al territorio provincial.  las biografias de los artifices y las marcas que utilizaron, se incluyen en otro capitulo. Completa el estudio historico, el analisis del \u00abmarcaje y los contrastes\u00bb de soria, destacando el hallazgo de cuatro variantes de marca de localidad soriana desconocidas hasta el momento.
