crisis de la restauracion espa\u00f1ola de 1989, se abre un parentisis de profundos cambios en la vida espa\u00f1ola: surgen con renovado impetu las tendencias centrifugas de los nacionalismos de distintas zonas y franjas de la peninsula, frente a ellas se encuentra un estado nacion, que ha perdido no solo una guerra material, sino tambien una guerra moral, pese a las criticas de buena parte de la intelectualidad, entre las cuales destacan las continuas advertencias de joaquin costa.Asi, con una breve introduccion historica sobre el contexto y cosmovision en el que se desarrolla la obra y labor de joaquin costa, se inicia el trabajo de prospeccion, que analiza la preocupacion y deseo de progreso de costa hacia espa\u00f1a manifestada como una constante en sus obras, con una concepcion muy personalista, que rallaba en los elementos mas tradicionales de la historia patria (de la cual era un excelente conocedor y analista), y a la vez le impulsaba a un cambio de trayectoria necesario para incorporar al pais y a sus gentes a la altura de los nuevos tiempos, pero sobre todo a la superacion de los obstaculos que desnivelaban la competencia de espa\u00f1a con el resto de las naciones europeas.Este es el sentido con el que se aborda a lo largo del estudio, el nacionalismo espa\u00f1ol costiano, que incorpora elementos tradicionales (problematica del campesinado, afirmacion de los valores positivos culturales propios, etc), a la vez que provoca una inflexion hacia posiciones y valores nuevos dentro de la cosmovision espa\u00f1ola, (el progreso de la ciencia, el desarrollo del comercio, de la escuela, etc), que sin perder totalmente la esencia patria, nos acercasen hacia valores compartidos por los pueblos mas prosperos y evolucionados del momento, pues no resulta una coincidencia, que el proceso coincida con una epoca de expansion colonial importante, y de reafirmacion, por tanto, de la cultura europea.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
