El ovario pasa por tres estadios: proestro (reposo), estro (hibernacion) y anestro (gestacion, parto y lactacion). Existen variaciones numericas de los foliculos durante este ciclo. El foliculo de graaf (maduro) persiste quiescente en hibernacion con su disco proligero hipertrofiado. La hibernacion produce alteraciones en las celulas intersticiales del estroma ovarico. Estas alteraciones y otras ultraestructurales se han observado, asimismo, cuando las hembras son sometidas a ayuno. Se han descrito caracteristicas ultraestructurales esteroidogenicas en las celulas luteinicas y en las celulas intersticiales, granulosas y de la teca. Se han caracterizado inmunocitoquimicamente las celulas fsh y lh y su variacion numerica en anestro.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Variaciones
