Se ha observado la produccion de tres enzimas responsables de dicha actividad. Estas enzimas se han purificado y caracterizado encontrando diferentes propiedades para cada una de ellas. Tambien se han encontrado diferentes valores para sus parametros cineticos y distinto modo de accion. Basandose en estos estudios se han propuesto diferentes funciones para las enzimas purificadas durante la autolisis de a. Nidulans.  se ha estudiado tambien la degradacion de las paredes celulares de fusarium oxysporum f.Sp. Lycopersici raza 2 y francciones de las mismas, tanto por el crudo enzimatico de a. Nidulans como por las enzimas purificadas para una posibles aplicacion al control biologico de f.
