En capitulos posteriores se determinan clases zocalo finas sobre tipos de anillos mas especificos (dominios de dedekind, anillos artinianos principales). En el segundo capitulo se obtienen caracterizaciones zocalo-finas de los anillos artinianos y de los noetherianos. Uno de los objetivos importantes es el estudio de las clases zocalo finas en el contexto de los modulos qi, qp, continuos y cuasi-continuos. En esta linea se consigue caracterizar el caracter zocalo fino de la clase de los sumandos directos de un modulo cuasi-continuo mediante el requerimiento de que posea zocalo esencial. A partir de este resultado se derivan una serie de consecuencias interesantes en el ambiente de los dominios noetherianos de dimension de krull uno.
