Tomato o tratadas con fosfinotricina o ppt, un herbicida inhibidor especifico de gs. Durante la infeccion o el tratamiento con ppt se observa una expresion diferencial de los genes de gs, de tal manera, que se produce una represion del gen codificante de la isoforma cloroplastidica (gs2) y la induccion de un gen que codifica una isoforma citosolica de la enzima (gs1).  la isoforma citosolica inducida se localiza en el citosol de las celulas del mesofilo, a diferencia de la isoforma citosolica constitutiva que esta asociada al tejido vascular. La nueva isoforma podria estar implicada en la reasimilacion del amonio liberado durante la degeneracion del aparato fotosintetico. Esta regulacion diferencial de los genes de gs parece ser dependiente de un metabolismo fotosinteticamente activo del tejido. La represion de gs2 parece estar ligada a la interrupcion del ciclo fotorrespiratorio. La induccion de gs1 podria estar mediada por los aminoacidos alanina o serina o por algun derivado de los mismos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
