Se dise\u00f1aron tecnicas para la aceleracion del algoritmo, nuevas aplicaciones y un nuevo algoritmo cordic 3d. En el primer capitulo se expone el estado del arte del algoritmo. En el capitulo segundo se llevan a cabo dos tecnicas para la paralelizacion del proceso de compensacion del factor de escala, lo que reduce en un 25% el tiempo de computo de todas las aplicaciones existentes basadas en este algoritmo. En el capitulo tercero se introduce el nuevo algoritmo cordic radix-4, que reduce a la mitad el numero de iteraciones del cordic convencional. Se dise\u00f1aron arquitecturas recursivas, segmentadas y de proposito especifico, resolviendose de forma eficiente el problema del factor de escala no constante. En el capitulo cuarto se realizan dos arquitecturas para la computacion de la ht. Finalmente, en el capitulo quinto se desarrolla un nuevo algoritmo cordic 3d, se dise\u00f1a una arquitectura unificada en aritmetica redundante, y se aplica al proceso de
