Los experimentos de cristalizacion se han realizado en solucion acuosa, mediante contradifusion de reactivos a traves de una columna de hidrogel de silice.  el metodo permite establecer el \u00abefecto de no-equilibrio\u00bb, es decir, en que medida la sobresaturacion influye en la distribucion de los iones vicariantes entre las fases solida y fluida. Con este objeto, se han comparado calculos de equilibrio con la composicion efectiva de los nucleos cristalinos, utilizandose diagramas lippmann y roozeboom.  se han observado dos conductas de nucleacion extremas.  las soluciones solidas como                           , entre extremos con productos de solubilidad proximos, tienden a cristalizar de una manera \u00abequitativa\u00bb. Para este tipo de soluciones solidas, un amplio rango de composiciones de fluido esta en equilibrio con soluciones solidas intermedias. Por el contrario, la solucion solida , con productos extremos de solubilidad que difieren en varios ordenes de magnitud, tiende a cristalizar de forma \u00abbimodal\u00bb. Unicamente un rango muy estrecho de composiciones de la fase acuosa puede coexistir en equilibrio con solidos con fracciones molares en el rango 0.1-0.9.  la sobresaturacion tiende a amortiguar esta tendencia bimodal, extendiendo el rango de soluciones acuosas a partir de las que pueden nuclear soluciones solidas intermedias, pero el efecto global permanece. El proceso de crecimiento se ha estudiado separadamente, determinandose la evolucion composicional de los individuos cristalinos. Cuando los cristales crecen a partir de una solucion acuosa multicomponente, cualquier gradiente composicional en el cristal refleja la evolucion de la composicion de la interfase durante el crecimiento. En la solucion solida        se desarrollan cambios de composicion drasticos cuando, durante el proceso de crecimiento, la composicion d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
