tema (nanu-ionesco, l and ionesco, v (1969): nanu-ionesco l and marcean r (1970); milcu sm, nanu-ionesco i and milcu s (1971); csaba g and barath p (1971); gorray kg, quay wb and lewart rb (1974); unger rh and orci l (1981); creutzfeld w (1984); blazquez e and diaz b (1986), carecen de datos acerca del estado funcional de las celulas pancreaticas productoras de insulina, glucagon, somatostatina y polipeptido pancreatico, en relacion con el funcionamiento de la glandula pineal.Por ello, nosotros hemos realizado este trabajo, para con el estudiar las repercusiones de la exeresis de la pineal sobre el pancreas endocrino, examinar la posible inferencia de la iluminacion continua sobre el pancreas endocrino, estudiar el presunto efecto sobre dicha glandula, de inyecciones continuadas de melatonina y, finalmente, completar el estudio con la determinacion de glucemias en el grupo control y grupos experimentales, para valorar la posible interrelacion de este indicador con los estudios morfologicos y morfometricos de las hormonas insulina y glucagon.Nuestro objetivo se centro en establecer si las diferencias que aparecen en los grupos experimentales y los controles eran debidos a una modificacion en la sintesis hormonal o bien a una alteracion en la secrecion de dichas hormonas pancreaticas (insulina, glucagon, somatostatina y polipeptido pancreatico).Para ello, se dise\u00f1o un estudio experimental doble aunque no ciego, ya que las condiciones experimentales fueron meticulosamente planeadas.Utilizamos ratas wistar y las dividimos en 1 grupo control y 5 grupos experimentales:  pinealectomizadas y sacrificadas a los 15, 30 y 60 dias, tratadas con melatonina de forma cronica y animales sometidos a luz continua.Posteriormente, tras exeresis de la glandula pancreatica y previa preparacion de los cortes de la misma, se estudiaron las celulas del pancreas endocrino mediante la metodolog\u00eda inmunocitoquim<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos
