Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que la expresion funcional del gen de restriccion depende de la presencia de la metilasa del sistema, m.Sali. Este mecanismo de regulacion no ha sido descrito para ningun otro sistema rm de tipo ii.  2.- Se ha estudiado tambien la expresion del sistema sali en el hospedador heterologo escherichia coli.
