Estudios recientes demostraron que las bacterias lacticas dominantes en quesos frescos y azules que se producen artesanalmente en asturias son lactobacilos mesofilos, razon por la cual nos parecio interesante el aislamiento de bacteriofagos presentes en estos quesos, utilizando estos microorganismos como indicadores. Entre los fagos aislados en nuestro laboratorio se escogio el fago 393-a2 para profundizar en el estudio de su biolog\u00eda porque es temperado, infecta a lactobacillus casei atcc 393, una cepa relevante tecnologicamente por su capacidad de producir diacetilo, que ademas es la cepa tipo de la especie. Este objetivo general se concreto en los siguientes puntos: i) estudio general de los viriones:  observacion de su morfolog\u00eda por microscopia electronica, analisis de las proteinas estructurales de la capsida y caracterizacion del genoma fagico. Ii) estudios funcionales (rango de huesped, obtencion de lisogenos y curva de desarrollo litico en un paso).
