Isabel <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La expresion del gen icl1 de saccharomyces cerevisiae, que codifica a la isocitratoliasa un enzima clave del ciclo del glioxilato, esta fuertemente controlado. La presencia en el medio de cultivo de compuestos de dos atomos de carbono tales como el etanol o el acetato inducen la expresion del gen mientras que la glucosa provoca su represion. La busqueda de los elementos del promotor del gen icl1 responsables de este tipo de regulacion condujo a la identificacion de una secuencia activadora anterior (uas) y una secuencia represora (urs) (fernandez y col., 1993; scholer y schuller, 1994).  nosotros hemos caracterizado la region que contiene la urs, ademas se han identificado las proteinas que interaccionan con los dos elementos reguladores y el papel de los genes mig1 y snf1 (cat1) en la union de las proteinas reguladoras a sus secuencias blanco.  la adicion de glucosa a celulas adaptadas al crecimiento en presencia de etanol induce la fosforilacion e inactivacion irreversible del enzima. En este trabajo se ha comprobado la implicacion de los genes tpk1 y tpk2 que codifican a las subunidades cataliticas de las proteinquinasas dependientes de ampc en la fosforilacion del enzima.
