Los calculos teoricos muestran que el factor predominante para determinar la conformacion cis-trans es el grado de distorsion de n5 a n3, que depende de la naturaleza del ligando, asi la conformacion cis solo se observa en los complejos alenilideno, donde el ligando tiene una mayor capacidad pi-aceptora. Los calculos tambien predicen la reactividad de los complejos indenilo. Los complejos con ligandos vinilideno pueden sufrir ataques nucleofilos en el c alfa mientras que los compuestos con ligandos alenilidenos los sufren en el c . En los complejos alquinilo se pueden producir ataques electrofilos en el c beta.  en los complejos octaedricos de manganeso (ii) de bajo spin con ligandos carbonilo, se encuentra una buena correlacion entre los potenciales de oxidacion y la energia del orbital ocupado de mas alta energia. El calculo permite determinar el isomero mas estable en funcion de la energia total. La deslocalizacion electronica, en los complejos con un ligando cianuro, esta controlada por la estereoquimica de los ligandos carbonilo, lo que nos permite abrir el camino a un dise\u00f1o racional de complejos polinucleares mediante la deslocalizacion electronica desde el manganeso (ii) a un segundo metal via el cianuro puente.  los calculos realizados en los complejos dinucleares de manganeso (ii) y hierro (ii) con un grupo cianuro puente indican la existencia de una debil interaccion entre los atomos de manganeso a traves del ligando puente, que desaparece si el ligando puente no actua como conector.  el homo de los diferentes isomeros controla el potencial de oxidacion. Este orbital siempre se localiza en el manganeso con estereoquimica trans, y si los dos metales son iguales se localizara en el que este<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
