Estos compuestos tienen caracteristicas estructurales y electronicas diferentes ya que los dos primeros poseen ligandos que actuan de puente entre los tres atomos de rutenio, mientras que en los dos ultimos caos, los ligandos actuan de puente entre solo dos de los tres atomos metalicos. En la segunda parte de esta memoria se estudian algunos de estos compuestos como precursores catatilicos en la hidrogenacion de digenilacetileno en fase homogenea.  el compuesto (ru3(co)12):  (ru3(u3-ampy)(u-h)(u-phc=chph)8)(bf4(a1) reacciona con facilidad con nucleofilos anionicos y neutros. En este estudio se han conseguido sintetizar los primeros ejemplos, en la quimica de rutenio, de clusters carbonilicos cationicos de 4, electrones que no conatienen ligandos hidruro. El estudio de la reactividad del derivado (ru3(co)12):(ru3((u-3-ampy) (u-co)2(co)8)bf4) ha permitido preparar algunos clusters hexanucleares de caracteristicas sin precedentes. El compuesto a1 tambien es un buen precursor catalitico para la hidrogenacion de difenilacetileno en fase homogenea.  este trabajo es el primer ejemplo de la utilizacion de un cluster carbonilico cationico como precursor catalitico en fase homogenea. Tanto los datos cineticos, como las evidencias quimicas obtenidas, sugieren que las especies activas presentes en el ciclo catalitico son clusters trinucleares.  el estudio de la reactividad del compuesto (ru3(u-hnconme2)(u-h)(co)9) (b1) es el primer estudio de estas caracteristicas de un cluster carbonicilo que contiene un ligando derivado de una urea.
