Se ha conseguido este objetivo en cinco fases:  1.- Aislamiento de los productos naturales de partida.  2.- Transformacion de los mismos en intermedios adecuados par la sintesis.  3.- Obtencion a partir de estos, compuesto con esqueleto drimano.  4.- Transformacion en drimanos activos.  5.- Sintesis de analogos nitrogenados con el fin de estudiar la relacion estructura-actividad.  siguiendo estos pasos se han logrado sintetizar drimanos antiapetentes como warburganal, poligodial y antibioticos como pereniporina a y b, entre otros. Asimismo se ha conseguido obtener varios drimanos con nitrogeno en la posicion adecuada y se ha llevado a cabo la evaluacion biologica de los mismos.  quimica organica
