Utilizando metodos electroquimicos se ha caracterizado su pasivacion asi como su resistencia a la corrosion localizada tanto por picado como por rendijas en disolucion tamponada a ph=8. Tambien se ha realizado un estudio de la influencia de microorganismos en los procesos de corrosion.  se ha estudiado la pasivacion y corrosion por picado para en tres tipos de latones: x, b y x+b en un medio tamponado a ph=9. La resistencia al picado se ha relacionado con su composicion. Asimismo se ha estudiado la composicion de las capas pasivas a un potencial determinado utilizando la tecnica de analisis superficial xps-auger.  por ultimo se presenta un estudio del dealeado de un laton b. Este se ha realizado en nac1 0,5 m sin tamponar haciendo uso tecnicas electroquimicas combinadas con microscopia de efecto tunel (stm).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
