Estos estudios han permitido el aislamiento y la elucidacion estructural de una nueva cumarina y catorce nuevos diterpenos, que se han aportado a la bibliografia quimica. Estos trabajos han servido para terminar de completar un estudio quimiotaxonomico, realizado en nuestro departamento, sobre especies del genero sideritis.  se demuestra, desde el punto de vista fitoquimico, que las dos variedades de s.Massoniana de madeira y la s.Pumila de fuerteventura deben considerarse como tres especies distintas.  del estudio de la s.Argosphacelus y la s.Argosphacelus var. Spicata se deduce que estos dos taxones deben ser considerados como dos especies diferentes. Este hecho confirmo un estudio cardiologico anterior en el mismo sentido.  se confirma fitoquimicamente un estudio botanico reciente que indicaba que la s.Lotsyi var.
