A partir un formalismo b\u00e1sico se han formalizado varias tareas cl\u00e1sicas de ri, estudiado sus costes comptuacionales y propuesto implementaciones eficientes. En todos los pasos se ha enfatizado al ventajas del uso de una aproximaci\u00f3n l\u00f3gica. La flexibilidad representacional de la l\u00f3gica ha permitido la creaci\u00f3n de un marco homog\u00e9neo donde se modelan distintos elementos involucrados en el problema de ri.  primeramente se ha modelado el problema b\u00e1sico de ri dentro de un formalismo l\u00f3gico. Seguidamente se ha definido una implementaci\u00f3n eficiente para el modelo propuesto. Esta implementaci\u00f3n ha permitido la evaluaci\u00f3n del modelo con colecciones de prueba est\u00e1ndar en ri. Estos experimentos permiten valorar cuantitativamene el rendimiento del modelo te\u00f3rico propuesto. A continuaci\u00f3n el modelo se ha extendido para manejar situaciones de recuperaci\u00f3n y para modelar el proceso de relevance feedback. Esto permite mostrar que un marco formal puede manejar extensiones de forma homog\u00e9nea. Por \u00faltimo, las nociones de similaridad entre t\u00e9rminos y frecuencia inversa en documentos han sido incluidas en el modelo. Estas \u00faltimas extensiones han sido acompa\u00f1adas de sus correspondientes tests de evaluaci\u00f3n.  las principales aportaciones de esta investigaci\u00f3n son las siguientes. primero, el modelo te\u00f3rico propuesto ha sido implementado y evaluado, asegurando su aplicabilidad real. De hecho, muy pocas aproximaciones l\u00f3gicas a ri han sido implementadas y evaluadas. El modelo b\u00e1sico puede representar vectores cl\u00e1sicos con pesos binarios y, adem\u00e1s, nuestra medida de relevancia se corresponde con la medida cl\u00e1sica del producto interno consulta-documento. de esta forma, hemos formalizado tareas cl\u00e1sicas como casos dentro del modelo. Sin embargo, el modelo propuesto es inherentemente m\u00e1s expresivo que los formalismos cl\u00e1sicos.
