Pese a ello se conoce muy poco acerca de su funcionamiento. Para estudiarla establecimos un sistema \u00abin vitro\u00bb de celulas permeabilizadas que permitiera reproducir este transporte retrogrado. En celulas nrk permeabilizadas con estreptolisina-o e incubadas con una alta concentracion (1a 5 mg\/ml) de proteinas citosolicas los componentes integrales del complejo de golgi redistribuyeron al reticulo endoplasmico. Este transporte retrogrado inducido por factores citosolicos de caracter hidrofobico estas medidas por vesiculas cubiertas y es dependiente de atp, de un exceso de citosol, de la temperatura e independiente de microtubulos. Ademas esta regulado por distintas clases de proteinas g heterotrimericas que probablemente actuen de forma coordinada para adecuar la organizacion morfologica y funcional del golgi a las necesidades
