La patolog\u00eda de la glandula parotida por su etiolog\u00eda, clinica y terapeutica, con respecto a las restantes glandulas salivales, justifica un mayor interes por su estudio.  el objetivo del presente trabajo es describir por resonancia magnetica, la anatomia o normalidad de la glandula parotida y definir su ambito de aplicacion e indicaciones en el campo de la patolog\u00eda parotidea.  se estudiaron 52 pacientes mediante resonancia magnetica, utilizando secuencias spin eco t1 y t2 efectuandose cortes en los planos axial y coronal.  la patolog\u00eda mas frecuentemente encontrada fue el tumor mixto (11) y la sialoadenosis (7). El estudio proporciona por primera vez en espa\u00f1a, una vision general de la utilizacion de la resonancia magnetica como medio diagnostico para el estudio de la glandula parotida.  como conclusion por el presente trabajo se establece, que la resonancia magnetica es el metodo de eleccion para el diagnostico por imagen de la parotida.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
