Se han determinado diferencias de consumo y de desarrollo larvario con dietas a base de plantas diferentes de su huesped principal, y, si bien, con alimentacion natural las larvas de este lepidoptero estabilizan su desarrollo con hojas de vid, puntualmente consumen mayores cantidades de otras plantas. Sin embargo, con dieta semisintetica se comprueba que el aporte de hojas de hiedra es mucho mas favorable que el de hojas de vid. Ademas, se ha establecido un metodo para poder precisar diferencias de consumo y se comprueba que las larvas de ultimos estadios discriminan significativamente su alimentacion entre hojas de diferentes variedades de vid andaluzas. Este mismo metodo se ha utilizado para la evaluacion de extractos naturales, encontrandose una gran eficacia en los obtenidos de ch. Coronarium. Finalmente se ha establecido un modelo de regresion predictivo del vuelo de los imagos del insecto en la zona de jerez, que se muestra muy preciso, con unos coeficientes de correlacion muy
