Ambos compuestos inhiben tanto la generacion de anion superoxido, como la liberacion de elastasa y de ltb4 en neutrofilos.  tambien inhiben la actividad de diversas pla2 secretoras, presentando unas ci50 del orden um.  en las experiencias realizadas \u00abin vivo\u00bb, ircinina inhibe el edema en oreja de raton en una potencia superior a escalaradial e indemutacina.  ademas, en el modelo de \u00abbolsa de aire de raton\u00bb se ha estudiado otros parametros de la reaccion inflamatoria.  por ultimo, escalaradial e ircinina, inhiben la actividad pla2 secretada en el modelo de bolsa de aire
