Posteriormente se han ensayado diferentes sustancias polifen\u00f3licas, adminsitradas antes y despu\u00e9s de la irradiaci\u00f3n con el fin de establecer un posible efecto protector frente al da\u00f1o cromos\u00f3mico inducido por la radiaci\u00f3n.  en el test \u00abin vivo\u00bb los ratones swiss se han irradiado con 47 cgy de rayos x y las muestras de sangre el test \u00abin vitro\u00bb con 206 cgy de radiaci\u00f3n gamma administr\u00e1ndose los flavonoides ensayados (diosmina, rutina, extracto c\u00edtrico solulbe, dimietilsulf\u00f3xido, propiltiouracilo, eriodictiol, quercetina, oliva, vitamina c, p90, p120, p55) antes y despu\u00e9s de la irradiaci\u00f3n (preirradiaci\u00f3n y postirradiaci\u00f3n).  los resultados obtenidos se han sometido a an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico que ha consistido en comparaciones entre grupos, realizando contraste de igualdad de medias y correlaciones polin\u00f3micas, aplic\u00e1ndose tambi\u00e9n an\u00e1lisis de regresi\u00f3n y de correlaci\u00f3n lineales.  los resultados muestran una relaci\u00f3n lineal entre la dosis de radiaci\u00f3n administrada y el incremento de la frecuencia de aprici\u00f3n de mn en ambos ensayos, as\u00ed como un descenso signficativo en la inducci\u00f3n de mn en pces y en ets en los animales irradiados y en los linfocitos binucleados tratados con los distintos  tipos de falvonoides (p&lt;0,001).
