Se ha especial enfasis en la descripcion mas adecuada para cada caso de las excitaciones electronicas que actuan de mediadoras en el proceso de dispersion. En primer lugar se desarrolla un tratamiento de la dispersion raman resonante por dos fonones opticos, incluyendo excitones de wannier como estados intermedios.  los resultados obtenidos permiten interpretar los perfiles de resonancia medidos en valor absoluto en diversos semiconductores iii-v y ii-vi. A continuacion se elabora un modelo excitonico de la dispersion hiper-raman valido para frecuencias de excitacion alrededor de una transicion optica directa permitida. Los calculos realizados son compatibles con los escasos resultados experimentales existentes y permiten predecir la aparicion de estructura adicional en el perfil de resonancia, para energias por encima del gap. Finalmente se estudia la influencia de un campo electrico externo sobre la intensidad raman. Mediante los resultados obtenidos se explican medidas realizadas recientemente en muestras de arseniuro de galio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
