El primero, el modulo local de procesamiento (mlp) se encarga de analizar las imagenes de trafico proporcionadas por las camaras situadas en la carretera y de detectar la presencia de incidentes y obtener parametros de trafico dentro de la zona monitorizada mediante tecnicas de procesamiento de imagenes. El segundo modulo, el sistema central de procesamiento (scp) recibe los datos de todos los mlp situados a lo largo de una red de carreteras y se encarga de determinar la presencia de incidentes en las zonas no monitorizadas existentes entre 2 camaras mediante el empleo de tecnicas cualitativas, proporcionando una descripcion del estado de trafico y realizando una gestion de los incidentes a alto
