En el caso de trichoderma se aislaron cuatro especies: t. Aureoviride, t. Harzianum, t.Koningii y t. Viride, ninguna de las cuales mostro un adecuado control, tanto in vitro como in vivo, sobre diversos hongos fitopatogenos. Su modo de accion antagonista es la competicion por el espacio, la accion enzimatica y el hiperparasitismo. En el caso de myrothecium se aislaron dos especies: m. Roridum y m.Verrucaria.  presentando ambos una alta eficacia antagonista, tanto in vitro como in vivo.  in vitro, los cultivos duales inhibieron totalmente la mayoria de especies de phytophthora. Los filtrados culturales obtenidos poor distintos procedimientos y a diversas dosis (2.5,5,10,20%) inhibieron completamente al 10 y 20 % el crecimiento miceliar de phytophthora spp. In vivo, filtrados culturales de m. Verrucaria inhibieron el ataque de p.Capsici en plantas de pimiento.
